Forecast tinggi gelombang dari BMKG
Apabila anda merasa prakiraan BMKG selalu lebih besar daripada prakiraan singapura, itu dikarenakan BMKG memberi peringatan maximum wave sementara singapura memberi significant wave. Walaupun standar internasional memang adalah significant wave, tetapi demi alasan keamanan (karena kapal-kapal di Indonesia kebanyakan adalah kapal nelayan kecil yang tidak tahan gelombang tinggi) maka maximum wave yang digambarkan disini.
